0011| RELATING TO PUBLIC FINANCES; REQUIRING STATE AGENCIES TO
|
0012| FURNISH QUARTERLY REPORTS TO THE LEGISLATURE REGARDING THE
|
0013| STATUS OF CERTAIN FUNDS WITHIN THE CONTROL OF EACH AGENCY.
|

0015| BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
|
0016| Section 1. PERMANENT, TRUST AND ESCROW FUNDS--ANNUAL
|
0017| REPORT REQUIRED--CONTENT.--
|
0018| A. Quarterly, each state agency shall furnish to
|
0019| each member of the legislature so requesting a report
|
0020| summarizing the status of each permanent, trust or escrow fund
|
0021| under that agency's control. The report shall include all
|
0022| permanent, trust or escrow funds established by law or
|
0023| agreement.
|
0024| B. Each report furnished pursuant to Subsection A
|
0025| of this section shall include:
|
0001| (1) a description of each fund reported, the
|
0002| legal or contractual basis for the creation of the fund and the
|
0003| permitted uses of the fund; and
|
0004| (2) the total amount of money in the fund,
|
0005| including the balance of the fund at the beginning and ending
|
0006| of the previous fiscal year, the balance of the fund at the end
|
0007| of the most recent quarter of the fiscal year and the amount of
|
0008| any interest or capital appreciation that accrued to the fund
|
0009| during the most recent quarter of the fiscal year.
|
0010| C. For purposes of this section, "state agency"
|
0011| means any department, board, commission or any constitutionally
|
0012| created public, post-secondary educational institution.
