0011|     MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR PROMOTION, MARKETING ASSISTANCE AND

0015|     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

0016|          Section 1.  APPROPRIATION.--Seventy-five thousand dollars
    |
0017|     ($75,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the New
    |
0018|     Mexico department of agriculture for expenditure in fiscal year
    |
0019|     1998 for the purpose of promoting local farmers' markets
    |
0020|     throughout the state and to disseminate educational,
    |
0021|     nutritional and food-safety information to local farmers'
    |
0022|     markets.  Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at
    |
0023|     the end of fiscal year 1998 shall revert to the general fund.
