DAVIS | 0005| | 0006| | 0007| | 0008| | 0009| | 0010| AN ACT | 0011| MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO FUND THE UNITED STATES-MEXICO LAW | 0012| INSTITUTE AT THE UNIVERSITY OF NEW MEXICO SCHOOL OF LAW; | 0013| DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. | 0014| | 0015| BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO: | 0016| Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Fifty thousand dollars | 0017| ($50,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the board of | 0018| regents of the university of New Mexico for expenditure in | 0019| fiscal years 1997 and 1998 for the purpose of funding the | 0020| United States-Mexico law institute, an international | 0021| organization that studies the legal relationship between the | 0022| United States and Mexico and is headquartered at the university | 0023| of New Mexico school of law. Any unexpended or unencumbered | 0024| balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 1998 shall revert | 0025| to the general fund. | 0001| Section 2. EMERGENCY.--It is necessary for the public | 0002| peace, health and safety that this act take effect immediately. | 0003|  |
