0011|     MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH FOR A

0012|     STATEWIDE MATERNAL AND CHILD HEALTH CARE SYSTEM.

0014|     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
    |
0015|          Section 1.  APPROPRIATION--MATERNAL AND CHILD HEALTH.--
    |
0016|     Eight hundred eighty thousand dollars ($880,000) is
    |
0017|     appropriated from the general fund to the department of health
    |
0018|     for expenditure by the public health division in fiscal year
    |
0019|     1998 for the purpose of completing the statewide maternal and
    |
0020|     child health care system, including coordinating community
    |
0021|     agencies; serving as a statewide clearinghouse; assisting to
    |
0022|     implement innovative maternal and child health care programs;
    |
0023|     providing technical assistance; and operating county- or area-
    |
0024|     wide maternal and child health councils.  Any unexpended or
    |
0025|     unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 1998
    |
0001|     shall revert to the general fund.
