0011|     MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE STATE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC

0012|     EDUCATION FOR THE PURPOSE OF PLANNING, DESIGNING AND

0013|     CONSTRUCTING AN ADDITION TO THE ANIMAS ELEMENTARY SCHOOL,

0016|     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

0017|          Section 1.  APPROPRIATION.--Eight hundred forty-eight
    |
0018|     thousand dollars ($848,000) is appropriated from the general
    |
0019|     fund to the state department of public education for
    |
0020|     expenditure in fiscal year 1998 for the purpose of planning,
    |
0021|     designing and constructing an addition to the Animas elementary
    |
0022|     school, located in Hidalgo county.  Any unexpended or
    |
0023|     unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 1998
    |
0024|     shall revert to the general fund.
