APPROPRIATION.--Three million dollars | 0024| ($3,000,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the | 0025| children, youth and families department for expenditure in | 0001| fiscal years 1997 and 1998 for the purpose of funding child | 0002| care for income-eligible persons. Any unexpended or | 0003| unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 1998 | 0004| shall revert to the general fund. | 0005| Section 2. APPROPRIATION.--Two million dollars | 0006| ($2,000,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the human | 0007| services department for expenditure in fiscal years 1997 and | 0008| 1998 for the purpose of maintaining the current cash benefit | 0009| level. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the | 0010| end of fiscal year 1998 shall revert to the general fund. | 0011| Section 3. APPROPRIATION.--One million dollars | 0012| ($1,000,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the human | 0013| services department for expenditure in fiscal years 1997 and | 0014| 1998 for the purpose of maintaining the current project forward | 0015| program. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at | 0016| the end of fiscal year 1998 shall revert to the general fund. | 0017| Section 4. APPROPRIATION.--Sixty-two million dollars | 0018| ($62,000,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the | 0019| human services department for expenditure in fiscal years 1997 | 0020| and 1998 for the purpose of maintaining for children one | 0021| hundred eighty-five percent of the federal poverty level for | 0022| medicaid eligibility. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance | 0023| remaining at the end of fiscal year 1998 shall revert to the | 0024| general fund. | 0025| Section 5. APPROPRIATION.--Two million dollars | 0001| ($2,000,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the human | 0002| services department for expenditure in fiscal years 1997 and | 0003| 1998 for the purpose of funding the general assistance program. | 0004| Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of | 0005| fiscal year 1998 shall revert to the general fund. | 0006| Section 6. APPROPRIATION.--Six million dollars | 0007| ($6,000,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the human | 0008| services department for expenditure in fiscal years 1997 and | 0009| 1998 for the purpose of implementing a disregard of earned | 0010| income program at one hundred percent of the federal poverty | 0011| level. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the | 0012| end of fiscal year 1998 shall revert to the general fund. | 0013| Section 7. APPROPRIATION.--Eight million dollars | 0014| ($8,000,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the human | 0015| services department for expenditure in fiscal years 1997 and | 0016| 1998 for the purpose of increasing the payment level of the | 0017| temporary assistance for needy families grant to thirty-seven | 0018| percent of the federal poverty level. Any unexpended or | 0019| unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 1998 | 0020| shall revert to the general fund. | 0021| Section 8. APPROPRIATION.--Six hundred thousand dollars | 0022| ($600,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the | 0023| children, youth and families department for expenditure in | 0024| fiscal years 1997 and 1998 for the purpose of passing through | 0025| to the temporary assistance for needy families family unit one | 0001| hundred dollars ($100) per month of child support payments | 0002| collected. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at | 0003| the end of fiscal year 1998 shall revert to the general fund. | 0004| Section 9.
