0011|     MAKING AN APPROPRIATION OF FEDERAL FUNDS PURSUANT TO THE

0013|     RECONCILIATION ACT OF 1996 TO THE HUMAN SERVICES DEPARTMENT FOR

0014|     THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE FAMILY ASSISTANCE AND INDIVIDUAL

0015|     RESPONSIBILITY ACT.

0017|     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

0018|          Section 1.  APPROPRIATION.--One hundred twenty-eight
    |
0019|     million dollars ($128,000,000) is appropriated from federal
    |
0020|     funds pursuant to Section 901 of the federal Personal
    |
0021|     Responsibility and Work Opportunity Reconciliation Act of 1996,
    |
0022|     P.L. 104-193 to the human services department for expenditure
    |
0023|     in fiscal year 1998 for the purpose of implementing the
    |
0024|     provisions of the Family Assistance and Individual
    |
0025|     Responsibility Act.  Any unexpended or unencumbered balance
    |
0001|     remaining at the end of fiscal year 1998 shall revert to the
    |
