0013|     DEFINITION OF "IMPROVEMENTS"; AMENDING A SECTION OF THE NMSA

0016|     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
    |
0017|          Section 1.  Section 19-7-15 NMSA 1978 (being Laws 1963,
    |
0018|     Chapter 237, Section 2, as amended) is amended to read:
    |
0019|          "19-7-15.  DEFINITION OF IMPROVEMENTS.--The word
    |
0020|     "improvements", <s>[herein]</s> <u>as used in Sections 19-7-14 through
</u>    |
<u></u>0021| <u>    19-7-18 NMSA 1978</u>, shall include appurtenant water rights and
    |
0022|     all improvements placed upon the land in compliance with
    |
0023|     Section <s>[7-8-53 NMSA 1953]</s> <u>19-7-51 NMSA 1978</u>, and shall
    |
0024|     include those appurtenant water rights and improvements placed
    |
0025|     upon the land prior to <s>[March 1, 1955]</s> <u>May 1, 1997</u>, whether
    |
0001|     or not the value <s>[be]</s> <u>is</u> in excess of the amount prescribed
    |
0002|     by Section <s>[7-8-53 NMSA 1953]</s> <u>19-7-51 NMSA 1978</u>. 
    |
0003|     Appurtenant water rights and improvements placed upon the land
    |
0004|     after <s>[March 1, 1955]</s> <u>May 1, 1997</u> but prior to <s>[March 1,

    |
0006|     accordance with rules and regulations adopted by the
