  has had it under consideration and reports same with
  recommendation that it DO PASS, amended as follows:
  
       1.  On page 2, line 5, strike "commencing July 1, 1997".
  
       2.  On page 2, line 6, strike "and local".
  
       3.  On page 2, line 18, strike "November 1, 1998" and insert
  in lieu thereof "November 1, 1997".
  
       4.  On page 2, lines 23 and 24, strike "One hundred forty
  thousand dollars ($140,000)" and insert in lieu thereof "Eighty-
  three thousand dollars ($83,000)".
  
       5.  On page 2, line 25, strike "1998 and" and insert "1997 and
  1998".
  
       6.  On page 3, line 1, strike "1999".
  
       7.  On page 3, line 4, strike "not" and after "revert" insert
  "to the general fund" and strike the remainder of the line.
  
       8.  On page 3, strike lines 5 and 6 in their entirety.
