0011|     MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO FUND CHARACTER PROGRAMS IN THE NEW

0014|     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

0015|          Section 1.  APPROPRIATION.--One hundred thousand dollars
    |
0016|     ($100,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the state
    |
0017|     department of public education for expenditure in fiscal year
    |
0018|     1998 for the purpose of funding character programs in public
    |
0019|     schools.  Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at
    |
0020|     the end of fiscal year 1998 shall revert to the general fund.
