0016|     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
    |
0017|          Section 1.  A new section of the Tort Claims Act is
    |
0018|     enacted to read:
    |
0019|          "[<u>NEW MATERIAL</u>]  LIABILITY--USE OF IRRIGATION DISTRICT
    |
0020|     LAND FOR RECREATIONAL PURPOSES.--Nothing in the Tort Claims Act
    |
0021|     shall be construed as waiving the immunity from liability of an
    |
0022|     irrigation district established pursuant to the provisions of
    |
0023|     Chapter 73, Article 9 NMSA 1978, when that irrigation district
    |
0024|     grants permission, without charge or other consideration, to
    |
0025|     any person or group to use its land for the purpose of hunting,
    |
0001|     fishing, trapping, camping, hiking, sightseeing or any other
    |
0002|     recreational use."
