0011| RELATING TO WORK FORCE DEVELOPMENT; GIVING RECIPIENTS OF

0012| TEMPORARY ASSISTANCE FOR NEEDY FAMILIES PREFERENCE FOR STATE

0015| BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
|
0016| Section 1. JOB TRAINING PROGRAMS--RECIPIENTS OF TEMPORARY
|
0017| ASSISTANCE FOR NEEDY FAMILIES--PREFERENCE.--Until July 1, 2000,
|
0018| all state job training programs, including apprenticeship
|
0019| programs, in-plant training and federal Job Training
|
0020| Partnership Act programs, shall give preference to recipients
|
0021| of temporary assistance for needy families, unless prohibited
|
0022| by federal law or when such preference is inconsistent with
|
0023| federal requirements for obtaining funding for the job training
|
0024| program.
