0011|     MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE STATE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC

0012|     EDUCATION TO PROVIDE A FAMILY SUPPORT PROGRAM AT WILSON MIDDLE

0013|     SCHOOL IN BERNALILLO COUNTY.

0015|     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
    |
0016|          Section 1.  APPROPRIATION.--One hundred thousand dollars
    |
0017|     ($100,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the state
    |
0018|     department of public education for expenditure in fiscal year
    |
0019|     1998 for the purpose of contracting for services to provide a
    |
0020|     family support program that is located at Wilson middle school
    |
0021|     and also serves Whittier, Emerson, Lowell and Kirtland
    |
0022|     elementary schools in Bernalillo county.  The family support
    |
0023|     program shall include elements that assist in crime prevention
    |
0024|     and gang intervention and address communication and listening
    |
0025|     skills, conflict resolution skills, problem-solving skills,
    |
0001|     decision-making skills, parenting skills and alcohol and drug
    |
0002|     education.  Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining
    |
0003|     from this appropriation at the end of fiscal year 1998 shall
    |
0004|     revert to the general fund.
