0014| BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

0015| Section 1. CHILD AND ADULT CARE FOOD PROGRAM--IMMIGRANT
|
0016| PARTICIPATION.--Immigrants may participate in the child and
|
0017| adult care food program administered by the children, youth and
|
0018| families department. The state shall opt out of enforcing
|
0019| immigration restrictions on participation in the program.

0019| RELATING TO WELFARE REFORM; PROVIDING THAT LEGAL IMMIGRANTS AND
|
0020| UNDOCUMENTED IMMIGRANTS RECEIVE CERTAIN SERVICES.

0022| BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

0023| Section 1. SOCIAL AND EDUCATION SERVICES--PROVIDED TO
|
0024| LEGAL AND UNDOCUMENTED IMMIGRANTS.--
|
0025| A. Legal immigrants shall be eligible to receive
|
0001| the following services and programs from the state:
|
0002| (1) emergency medical and health services;
|
0003| (2) Title 20 social services;
|
0004| (3) state child care assistance;
|
0005| (4) women, infants and children nutrition
|
0006| programs and other commodity benefits; and
|
0007| (5) child and adult care food programs.
|
0008| B. Undocumented immigrants shall be eligible to
|
0009| receive health services from the state.
|
0010| C. Immigrants may participate in the child and
|
0011| adult care food program administered by the children, youth and
|
0012| families department. The state shall opt out of enforcing
|
0013| immigration restrictions on participation in the program.
