0011|     MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR SUPPORT OF THE FOURTH JUDICIAL

0012|     DISTRICT ATTORNEY'S OFFICE; DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.

0014|     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
    |
0015|          Section 1.  APPROPRIATION.--Two hundred forty six thousand
    |
0016|     dollars ($246,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the
    |
0017|     office of the district attorney of the fourth judicial district
    |
0018|     for expenditure in fiscal years 1997 and 1998 for the purpose
    |
0019|     of adding necessary personnel, bringing salaries to recommended
    |
0020|     minimums and purchasing office equipment and a replacement
    |
0021|     office vehicle.  Any unexpended or unencumbered balance
    |
0022|     remaining at the end of fiscal year 1998 shall revert to the
    |
0023|     general fund.
    |
0024|          Section 2.  EMERGENCY.--It is necessary for the public
    |
0025|     peace, health and safety that this act take effect immediately.                       State of New Mexico
