0011|     MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO FUND THE YOUTH ENRICHMENT PROGRAM AT

0012|     THE UNIVERSITY OF NEW MEXICO IN BERNALILLO COUNTY; DECLARING AN
    |
0013|     EMERGENCY.

0015|     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
    |
0016|          Section 1.  APPROPRIATION.--One hundred thousand dollars
    |
0017|     ($100,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the board
    |
0018|     of regents of the university of New Mexico for expenditure in
    |
0019|     fiscal years 1997 and 1998 for the purpose of funding the
    |
0020|     African-American student services youth enrichment program,
    |
0021|     including personnel, administrative, travel and supplies
    |
0022|     expenses, at the main campus of the university of New Mexico in
    |
0023|     Bernalillo county.  Any unexpended or unencumbered balance
    |
0024|     remaining at the end of fiscal year 1998 shall revert to the
    |
0025|     general fund.
    |
0001|          Section 2.  EMERGENCY.--It is necessary for the public
    |
0002|     peace, health and safety that this act take effect immediately.
