0011|     MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR ESTANCIA GROUNDWATER BASIN

0014|     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
    |
0015|          Section 1.  APPROPRIATION.--Sixty-five thousand dollars
    |
0016|     ($65,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the board of
    |
0017|     regents of the New Mexico institute of mining and technology
    |
0018|     for expenditure in fiscal year 1998 for the purpose of
    |
0019|     purchasing seven data loggers, a computer, a well sounder and
    |
0020|     for other expenses to monitor the Estancia groundwater basin in
    |
0021|     Torrance county.  Any unexpended or unencumbered balance
    |
0022|     remaining at the end of fiscal year 1998 shall revert to the
    |
0023|     general fund.
