0011|     MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR A WATER AND WASTEWATER STUDY FOR

0012|     DONA ANA COUNTY.

0014|     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
    |
0015|          Section 1.  APPROPRIATION.--One hundred fifty thousand
    |
0016|     dollars ($150,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the
    |
0017|     department of environment for expenditure in fiscal year 1998
    |
0018|     for the purpose of conducting a comprehensive analysis of the
    |
0019|     water and wastewater facility, identifying the immediate need
    |
0020|     for expansion, prioritizing project development, identifying
    |
0021|     additional funding and determining the size of the service area
    |
0022|     and the total number of users for both the water and wastewater
    |
0023|     systems in Dona Ana county.  Any unexpended or unencumbered
    |
0024|     balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 1998 shall revert
    |
