  Mr. Speaker:
  
       Your EDUCATION COMMITTEE, to whom has been referred
  
                        HOUSE BILL 544
  
  has had it under consideration and reports same with
  recommendation that it DO PASS, amended as follows:
  
       1.   On page 2, line 3, strike "and".
  
       2.   On page 2, line 6, after the semi-colon, insert "and 
            
                 (4)  in the case of an area vocational school, the
  governing board of the area vocational school district."
  
       3.   On page 3, line 5, strike "and"
  
       4.   On page 3, line 8, strike the period and quotation mark,
  and insert in lieu thereof "; and
  
                 (4) an area vocational school organized pursuant to
  the Area Vocational School Act.",
  
  and thence referred to the APPROPRIATIONS AND FINANCE
  COMMITTEE.
