0017|     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

0018|          Section 1.  GENERAL FUND--STATE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC
    |
0019|     EDUCATION--CHANGE IN PURPOSE--APPROPRIATION.--The balance of
    |
0020|     the general fund appropriation made to the state department of
    |
0021|     public education pursuant to Subsection K of Section 33 of
    |
0022|     Chapter 222 of Laws 1995 for the purpose of refurbishing the
    |
0023|     cafeteria at Jackson middle school in Bernalillo county shall
    |
0024|     not be expended for its original purpose but is appropriated to
    |
0025|     the state department of public education to develop a student
    |
0001|     commons area in a southern courtyard to alleviate the current
    |
0002|     problem of inadequate drainage at Jackson middle school in
    |
0003|     Bernalillo county.
    |
0004|          Section 2.  EMERGENCY.--It is necessary for the public
    |
0005|     peace, health and safety that this act take effect immediately.
