0011|     MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE HUMAN SERVICES DEPARTMENT TO

0012|     FUND HOMELESS SERVICES IN SOUTHERN NEW MEXICO.

0014|     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
    |
0015|          Section 1.  APPROPRIATION.--Two hundred sixty-six thousand
    |
0016|     seven hundred twenty dollars ($266,720) is appropriated from
    |
0017|     the general fund to the human services department for
    |
0018|     expenditure in fiscal year 1998 to provide homeless services,
    |
0019|     including shelter, for homeless people in southern New Mexico
    |
0020|     counties seriously impacted by high immigration.  Any
    |
0021|     unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of
    |
0022|     fiscal year 1998 shall revert to the general fund.
