  Mr. Speaker:
  
       Your JUDICIARY COMMITTEE, to whom has been referred
  
                        HOUSE BILL 345
  
  has had it under consideration and reports same with
  recommendation that it DO PASS, amended as follows:
  
       1.  On page 3, line 4, after "punished" strike "as provided in
  Section 31-19-1 NMSA 1978" and insert in lieu thereof "by a fine of
  up to five hundred dollars ($500)".
  
       2.  On page 3, line 6, strike "fourth degree felony" and
  insert in lieu thereof "misdemeanor".
  
       3.  On page 3, lines 6 and 7, strike "as provided in Section
  31-18-15 NMSA 1978."  and insert in lieu thereof "by either a fine
  of not less than five hundred dollars ($500) or more than one
  thousand dollars ($1,000), by imprisonment for a definite term not
  to exceed thirty days, or both.".
  
       4.  On page 4, line 12, strike "fourth degree felony" and
  insert in lieu therof "misdemeanor".
       
       5.  On page 4, line 13, strike "as provided in Section 31-18-
  15 NMSA 1978;" and insert in lieu therof "by either a fine of not
  less than one thousand dollars ($1,000), imprisonment for a definite
  term of not less than thirty days, or both;".
  
       6.  On page 4, line 15, strike "third" and insert in lieu
  thereof "fourth".,
  
  and thence referred to the APPROPRIATIONS AND FINANCE
  COMMITTEE.
