0012|     MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR THE LOWER RIO GRANDE WATER USERS

0016|     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

0017|          Section 1.  APPROPRIATION.--One hundred thousand dollars
    |
0018|     ($100,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the office
    |
0019|     of the state engineer for expenditure in fiscal year 1998 for
    |
0020|     the purpose of funding local participation of the lower Rio
    |
0021|     Grande water users organization, an organization comprised of
    |
0022|     governmental entities, to complete a hydrographic survey in
    |
0023|     Dona Ana county.  Any unexpended or unencumbered balance
    |
0024|     remaining at the end of fiscal year 1998 shall revert to the
    |
0025|     general fund.
