0011|     MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO PURCHASE MOBILE COMPUTERS FOR PUBLIC

0012|     SAFETY AND EMERGENCY RESPONSE VEHICLES IN SAN JUAN COUNTY;

0013|     DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.

0015|     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
    |
0016|          Section 1.  APPROPRIATION.--Eight hundred forty thousand
    |
0017|     dollars ($840,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the
    |
0018|     local government division of the department of finance and
    |
0019|     administration for expenditure in fiscal years 1997 and 1998 to
    |
0020|     purchase mobile computers for public safety and emergency
    |
0021|     response vehicles in San Juan county.  Any unexpended or
    |
0022|     unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 1998
    |
0023|     shall revert to the general fund.
    |
0024|          Section 2.  EMERGENCY.--It is necessary for the public
    |
0025|     peace, health and safety that this act take effect immediately.                       State of New Mexico
