0011| RELATING TO LICENSING BOARDS; EXTENDING THE SUNSET DATES ON
|
0012| CERTAIN BOARDS AND COMMISSIONS.
|

0014| BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
|
0015| Section 1. Section 60-13-58 NMSA 1978 (being Laws 1978,
|
0016| Chapter 194, Section 1, as amended) is amended to read:
|
0017| "60-13-58. TERMINATION OF AGENCY LIFE--DELAYED REPEAL.--
|
0018| The construction industries commission and division and its
|
0019| trade bureaus are terminated on July 1, [1997] 2005
|
0020| pursuant to the Sunset Act. The construction industries
|
0021| commission and division and its trade bureaus shall continue to
|
0022| operate according to the provisions of Chapter 60, Article 13
|
0023| NMSA 1978 and Chapter 70, Article 5 NMSA 1978 until July 1,
|
0024| [1998] 2006. Effective July 1, [1998] 2006, Chapter
|
0025| 60, Article 13 NMSA 1978 and Chapter 70, Article 5 NMSA 1978
|
0001| are repealed."
|
0002| Section 2. Section 61-2-18 NMSA 1978 (being Laws 1979,
|
0003| Chapter 12, Section 3, as amended) is amended to read:
|
0004| "61-2-18. TERMINATION OF AGENCY LIFE--DELAYED REPEAL.--
|
0005| The board of optometry is terminated on July 1, [1997] 2003
|
0006| pursuant to the Sunset Act. The board shall continue to
|
0007| operate according to the provisions of Chapter 61, Article 2
|
0008| NMSA 1978 until July 1, [1998] 2004. Effective July 1,
|
0009| [1998 Article 2 of] 2004, Chapter 61, Article 2 NMSA 1978
|
0010| is repealed."
|
0011| Section 3. Section 61-3-31 NMSA 1978 (being Laws 1979,
|
0012| Chapter 379, Section 11, as amended by Laws 1991, Chapter 189,
|
0013| Section 4 and also by Laws 1991, Chapter 190, Section 23) is
|
0014| amended to read:
|
0015| "61-3-31. TERMINATION OF AGENCY LIFE--DELAYED REPEAL.--
|
0016| The board of nursing is terminated on July 1, [1997] 2003
|
0017| pursuant to the Sunset Act. The board shall continue to operate
|
0018| according to the provisions of Chapter 61, Article 3 NMSA 1978
|
0019| until July 1, [1998] 2004. Effective July 1, [1998
|
0020| Article 3 of] 2004, Chapter 61, Article 3 NMSA 1978 is
|
0021| repealed."
|
0022| Section 4. Section 61-4-17 NMSA 1978 (being Laws 1979,
|
0023| Chapter 77, Section 2, as amended) is amended to read:
|
0024| "61-4-17. TERMINATION OF AGENCY LIFE--DELAYED REPEAL.--
|
0025| The chiropractic board is terminated on July 1, [1997] 2003
|
0001| pursuant to the Sunset Act. The board shall continue to
|
0002| operate according to the provisions of Chapter 61, Article 4
|
0003| NMSA 1978 until July 1, [1998] 2004. Effective July 1,
|
0004| [1998 Article 4 of] 2004, Chapter 61, Article 4 NMSA 1978
|
0005| is repealed."
|
0006| Section 5. Section 61-5A-30 NMSA 1978 (being Laws 1994,
|
0007| Chapter 55, Section 42) is amended to read:
|
0008| "61-5A-30. DELAYED REPEAL.--The New Mexico board of
|
0009| dental health care is terminated on July 1, [1997] 2003
|
0010| pursuant to the Sunset Act. The board shall continue to
|
0011| operate according to the provisions of the Dental Health Care
|
0012| Act and the Impaired Dentists and Dental Hygienists Act until
|
0013| July 1, [1998] 2004. Effective July 1, [1998] 2004,
|
0014| the Dental Health Care Act and the Impaired Dentists and Dental
|
0015| Hygienists Act are repealed."
|
0016| Section 6. Section 61-6-35 NMSA 1978 (being Laws 1979,
|
0017| Chapter 40, Section 2, as amended) is amended to read:
|
0018| "61-6-35. TERMINATION OF AGENCY LIFE--DELAYED REPEAL.--
|
0019| The New Mexico board of medical examiners is terminated on July
|
0020| 1, [1997] 2003 pursuant to the Sunset Act. The board shall
|
0021| continue to operate according to the provisions of Chapter 61,
|
0022| Article 6 NMSA 1978 until July 1, [1998] 2004. Effective
|
0023| July 1, [1998 Article 6 of] 2004, Chapter 61, Article 6
|
0024| NMSA 1978 is repealed."
|
0025| Section 7. Section 61-7A-15 NMSA 1978 (being Laws 1989,
|
0001| Chapter 387, Section 15, as amended) is amended to read:
|
0002| "61-7A-15. TERMINATION OF AGENCY LIFE--DELAYED
|
0003| REPEAL.--The board is terminated on July 1, [1997] 2005
|
0004| pursuant to the Sunset Act. The board shall continue to oper-
|
0005|
|
0006| ate according to the provisions of the Nutrition and Dietetics
|
0007| Practice Act until July 1, [1998] 2006. Effective July 1,
|
0008| [1998] 2006, the Nutrition and Dietetics Practice Act is
|
0009| repealed."
|
0010| Section 8. Section 61-8-17 NMSA 1978 (being Laws 1979,
|
0011| Chapter 385, Section 2, as amended) is amended to read:
|
0012| "61-8-17. TERMINATION OF AGENCY LIFE--DELAYED REPEAL.--
|
0013| The board of podiatry is terminated on July 1, [1997] 2003
|
0014| pursuant to the Sunset Act. The board shall continue to operate
|
0015| according to the provisions of Chapter 61, Article 8 NMSA 1978
|
0016| until July 1, [1998] 2004. Effective July 1, [1998
|
0017| Article 8 of] 2004, Chapter 61, Article 8 NMSA 1978 is
|
0018| repealed."
|
0019| Section 9. Section 61-9-19 NMSA 1978 (being Laws 1978,
|
0020| Chapter 188, Section 2, as amended by Laws 1996, Chapter 51,
|
0021| Section 8 and also by Laws 1996, Chapter 54, Section 11) is
|
0022| amended to read:
|
0023| "61-9-19. TERMINATION OF AGENCY LIFE--DELAYED REPEAL.--
|
0024| The New Mexico state board of psychologist examiners is
|
0025| terminated on July 1, [1997] 2003 pursuant to the Sunset
|
0001| Act. The board shall continue to operate according to the
|
0002| provisions of Chapter 61, Article 9 NMSA 1978 until July 1,
|
0003| [1998] 2004. Effective July 1, [1998 Article 9 of]
|
0004| 2004, Chapter 61, Article 9 NMSA 1978 is repealed."
|
0005| Section 10. Section 61-10-22 NMSA 1978 (being Laws 1979,
|
0006| Chapter 36, Section 2, as amended) is amended to read:
|
0007| "61-10-22. TERMINATION OF AGENCY LIFE--DELAYED REPEAL.--
|
0008| The board of osteopathic medical examiners is terminated on
|
0009| July 1, [1997] 2003 pursuant to the Sunset Act. The board
|
0010| shall continue to operate according to the provisions of
|
0011| Chapter 61, Article 10 NMSA 1978 until July 1, [1998] 2004.
|
0012| Effective July 1, [1998 Article 10 of] 2004, Chapter 61,
|
0013| Article 10 NMSA 1978 is repealed."
|
0014| Section 11. Section 61-11-29 NMSA 1978 (being Laws 1979,
|
0015| Chapter 266, Section 2, as amended) is amended to read:
|
0016| "61-11-29. TERMINATION OF AGENCY LIFE--DELAYED REPEAL.--
|
0017| The board of pharmacy is terminated on July 1, [1997] 2003
|
0018| pursuant to the Sunset Act. The board shall continue to
|
0019| operate according to the provisions of Chapter 61, Article 11
|
0020| NMSA 1978 until July 1, [1998] 2004. Effective July 1,
|
0021| [1998 Article 11 of] 2004, Chapter 61, Article 11 NMSA
|
0022| 1978 is repealed."
|
0023| Section 12. Section 61-12-21 NMSA 1978 (being Laws 1979,
|
0024| Chapter 369, Section 12, as amended) is amended to read:
|
0025| "61-12-21. TERMINATION OF AGENCY LIFE--DELAYED REPEAL.--
|
0001| The physical therapists' licensing board is terminated on July
|
0002| 1, [1997] 2005 pursuant to the Sunset Act. The board shall
|
0003| continue to operate according to the provisions of Chapter 61,
|
0004| Article 12 NMSA 1978 until July 1, [1998] 2006. Effective
|
0005| July 1, [1998 Article 12 of] 2006, Chapter 61, Article 12
|
0006| NMSA 1978 is repealed."
|
0007| Section 13. Section 61-12A-24 NMSA 1978 (being Laws 1996,
|
0008| Chapter 55, Section 24) is amended to read:
|
0009| "61-12A-24. TERMINATION OF AGENCY LIFE--DELAYED
|
0010| REPEAL.--The board of examiners for occupational therapy is
|
0011| terminated on July 1, [1997] 2005 pursuant to the
|
0012| provisions of the Sunset Act. The board shall continue to
|
0013| operate according to the provisions of the Occupational Therapy
|
0014| Act until July 1, [1998] 2006. Effective July 1, [1998]
|
0015| 2006, the Occupational Therapy Act is repealed."
|
0016| Section 14. Section 61-12B-16 NMSA 1978 (being Laws 1984,
|
0017| Chapter 103, Section 17, as amended) is amended to read:
|
0018| "61-12B-16. TERMINATION OF BOARD--DELAYED REPEAL.--The
|
0019| board is terminated on July 1, [1997] 2003 pursuant to the
|
0020| Sunset Act. The board shall continue to operate until July 1,
|
0021| [1998] 2004. Effective July 1, [1998] 2004, the
|
0022| Respiratory Care Act is repealed."
|
0023| Section 15. Section 61-13-17 NMSA 1978 (being Laws 1978,
|
0024| Chapter 206, Section 1, as amended) is amended to read:
|
0025| "61-13-17. TERMINATION OF AGENCY LIFE--DELAYED REPEAL.--
|
0001| The board of nursing home administrators is terminated on July
|
0002| 1, [1997] 2005 pursuant to the Sunset Act. The board shall
|
0003| continue to operate according to the provisions of Chapter 61,
|
0004| Article 13 NMSA 1978 until July 1, [1998] 2006. Effective
|
0005| July 1, [1998 Article 13 of] 2006, Chapter 61, Article 13
|
0006| NMSA 1978 is repealed."
|
0007| Section 16. Section 61-14-20 NMSA 1978 (being Laws 1979,
|
0008| Chapter 76, Section 2, as amended) is amended to read:
|
0009| "61-14-20. TERMINATION OF AGENCY LIFE--DELAYED
|
0010| REPEAL.--The board of veterinary medicine is terminated on July
|
0011| 1, [1997] 2005 pursuant to the Sunset Act. The board shall
|
0012| continue to operate according to the provisions of Chapter 61,
|
0013| Article 14 NMSA 1978 until July 1, [1998] 2006. Effective
|
0014| July 1, [1998] 2006, Chapter 61, Article 14 NMSA 1978 is
|
0015| repealed."
|
0016| Section 17. Section 61-14B-25 NMSA 1978 (being Laws 1996,
|
0017| Chapter 57, Section 25) is amended to read:
|
0018| "61-14B-25. TERMINATION OF AGENCY LIFE--DELAYED
|
0019| REPEAL.--The speech language pathology, audiology and hearing
|
0020| aid dispensing practices board is terminated on July 1,
|
0021| [1997] 2005 pursuant to the Sunset Act. The board shall
|
0022| continue to operate according to the provisions of the Speech
|
0023| Language Pathology, Audiology and Hearing Aid Dispensing
|
0024| Practices Act until July 1, [1998] 2006. Effective July 1,
|
0025| [1998] 2006, the Speech Language Pathology, Audiology and
|
0001| Hearing Aid Dispensing Practices Act is repealed."
|
0002| Section 18. Section 61-24B-17 NMSA 1978 (being Laws 1985,
|
0003| Chapter 151, Section 18, as amended) is amended to read:
|
0004| "61-24B-17. TERMINATION OF AGENCY LIFE--DELAYED REPEAL.--
|
0005| The board of landscape architects is terminated on July 1,
|
0006| [1997] 2005 pursuant to the Sunset Act. The board shall
|
0007| continue to operate according to the provisions of the
|
0008| Landscape Architects Act until July 1, [1998] 2006.
|
0009| Effective July 1, [1998] 2006, the Landscape Architects Act
|
0010| is repealed."
|
0011| Section 19. Section 61-31-25 NMSA 1978 (being Laws 1989,
|
0012| Chapter 51, Section 27, as amended) is amended to read:
|
0013| "61-31-25. TERMINATION OF AGENCY LIFE--DELAYED
|
0014| REPEAL.--The board of social work examiners is terminated on
|
0015| July 1, [1997] 2005 pursuant to the Sunset Act. The board
|
0016| shall continue to operate according to the provisions of the
|
0017| Social Work Practice Act until July 1, [1998] 2006.
|
0018| Effective July 1, [1998] 2006, the Social Work Practice Act
|
0019| is repealed."
