0011|     RELATING TO ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES; MAKING IT UNLAWFUL FOR A

0012|     RETAILER TO SELL A KEG OF BEER; PROVIDING PENALTIES; REPEALING

0013|     AND ENACTING SECTIONS OF THE LIQUOR CONTROL ACT.

0015|     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
    |
0016|          Section 1.  A new section of the Liquor Control Act is
    |
0017|     enacted to read:
    |
0018|          "[<u>NEW MATERIAL</u>]  SALE OF KEGS OF BEER PROHIBITED.--It is
    |
0019|     a violation of the Liquor Control Act for a retailer to sell a
    |
0020|     keg of beer.  As used in this section, "keg" means a package of
    |
0021|     beer containing more than six gallons of beer at the time it is
    |
0022|     sold."    
    |
0023|          Section 2.  REPEAL.--Section 60-7B-12 NMSA 1978 (being
    |
0024|     Laws 1989, Chapter 140, Section 1) is repealed.
    |
0025|          Section 3.  EFFECTIVE DATE.--The effective date of the
    |
0001|     provisions of this act is July 1, 1997.
