0012| APPROVING AND RATIFYING THE TRANSFER OF REAL PROPERTY BY THE
|
0013| GENERAL SERVICES DEPARTMENT TO THE NEW MEXICO REGION NO. 2
|
0014| HOUSING AUTHORITY.

0016| BE IT RESOLVED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
|
0017| WHEREAS, the property control division of the general
|
0018| services department has control over certain state buildings and
|
0019| lands; and
|
0020| WHEREAS, the property control division of the general
|
0021| services department has authority to sell or trade state
|
0022| buildings and real property under its control in accordance with
|
0023| Section 13-6-3 NMSA 1978; and
|
0024| WHEREAS, the property of approximately ten acres in the
|
0025| area of the Las Vegas medical center is under the jurisdiction
|
0001| of the property control division of the general services
|
0002| department; and
|
0003| WHEREAS, the state of New Mexico may enter into an
|
0004| agreement with the region no. 2 housing authority to develop
|
0005| housing for low income and disabled individuals in Las Vegas,
|
0006| New Mexico; and
|
0007| WHEREAS, the region no. 2 housing authority needs real
|
0008| property in order to construct and develop housing for low-
|
0009| income and disabled individuals; and
|
0010| WHEREAS, the Las Vegas medical center supports the
|
0011| community placement of the mentally disabled, and the region no.
|
0012| 2 housing authority agrees to designate one-half of the rental
|
0013| units to accommodate people with disabilities;
|
0014| NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE
|
0015| STATE OF NEW MEXICO that the general services department is
|
0016| authorized to transfer to the region no. 2 housing authority
|
0017| approximately ten acres in Las Vegas, New Mexico; and
|
0018| BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the secretary of general
|
0019| services is empowered hereby to take all actions necessary to
|
0020| accomplish the transfer of the real property to the region no. 2
|
0021| housing authority; and
|
0022| BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that, pursuant to Section 13-6-3
|
0023| NMSA 1978, this resolution fulfills all approval and
|
0024| ratification prerequisites for the transfer of real property by
|
0025| the general services department to the region no. 2 housing
|
0001| authority; and
|
0002| BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this resolution be
|
0003| transmitted to the general services department, the department
|
0004| of health and the state housing authority.
