It is proposed to amend Article 20 of the | 0019| constitution of New Mexico by adding a new section to read: | 0020| "No person authorized by the laws of this state to | 0021| solemnize marriages shall knowingly unite persons of the same | 0022| sex in marriage. All same-sex marriages that are valid | 0023| according to the laws of another state shall be considered | 0024| invalid in this state." | 0025| Section 2. The amendment proposed by this resolution shall | 0001| be submitted to the people for their approval or rejection at | 0002| the next general election or at any special election prior to | 0003| that date which may be called for that purpose. | 0004|  |
