A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION ADDING A NEW JOINT RULE 11-1 TO REGULATE SMOKING IN THE CAPITOL.

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

WHEREAS, Legislative Joint Rule 8-1 requires that joint rules be adopted, amended or repealed by concurrent resolution approved by two-thirds of the membership of each house;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES, THE SENATE CONCURRING THEREIN that the following new proposed Joint Rule 11-1 be adopted to read:

"SMOKING IN STATE CAPITOL (11-1)

Smoking is prohibited in the state capitol except for legislators in a legislator's office if the office is well-ventilated and if a legislator who shares the office does not object.". .108847.2
