0021| AN APPROPRIATION FOR PLANNING AND DEVELOPMENT OF AN AMERICAN

0022| INDIAN WOMEN'S CENTER.

0024| BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

0025| Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Five hundred thousand dollars
|
0001| ($500,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the New
|
0002| Mexico office of Indian affairs for expenditure in fiscal year
|
0003| 1997 for the purpose of contracting for services for the
|
0004| planning and development of a Native American Indian women's
|
0005| center to assist Native American Indian women with education and
|
0006| career development while offering a safe and supportive
|
0007| environment for their children and families. Any unexpended or
|
0008| unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 1997
|
0009| shall revert to the general fund.
