0012|     MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO PROVIDE OR CONTRACT FOR CANCER

0013|     PATIENT SUPPORT SERVICES.

0015|     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
    |
0016|       Section 1.  APPROPRIATION.--Fifty thousand dollars
    |
0017|     ($50,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the
    |
0018|     department of health for expenditure in fiscal year 1997 for the
    |
0019|     purpose of providing or contracting for comprehensive community-based cancer patient support services that include education,
    |
0020|     one-to-one matching with cancer veterans, survivorship
    |
0021|     mentoring, patient library services and an annual conference. 
    |
0022|     Services shall be available to cancer patients suffering from
    |
0023|     any type of cancer.  Any unexpended or unencumbered balance
    |
0024|     remaining at the end of fiscal year 1997 shall revert to the
    |
0025|     general fund.
