STEFANICS | 0006| | 0007| | 0008| | 0009| FOR THE LEGISLATIVE HEALTH AND HUMAN SERVICES COMMITTEE | 0010| | 0011| AN ACT | 0012| MAKING APPROPRIATIONS TO PROVIDE A CONTINUUM OF CARE FOR ADULTS. | 0013| | 0014| BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO: | 0015| Section 1. APPROPRIATIONS.-- | 0016| A. Two million dollars ($2,000,000) is appropriated | 0017| from the general fund to the children, youth and families | 0018| department for expenditure in fiscal year 1997 in the following | 0019| amounts for the following purposes: | 0020| (1) one million dollars ($1,000,000) to provide | 0021| or contract for domestic violence prevention programs and | 0022| services for adults; | 0023| (2) four hundred thousand dollars ($400,000) to | 0024| provide or contract for expanded home care programs or services | 0025| for adults; | 0001| (3) four hundred thousand dollars ($400,000) to | 0002| provide or contract for expanded attendant care programs and | 0003| services for adults; and | 0004| (4) two hundred thousand dollars ($200,000) to | 0005| provide or contract for adult daycare statewide, to alleviate | 0006| waiting lists at existing centers and to increase personnel and | 0007| provide operational expenses for centers in communities without | 0008| adult daycare. | 0009| B. One million dollars ($1,000,000) is appropriated | 0010| from the general fund to the human services department for | 0011| expenditure in fiscal year 1997 to expand the Medicaid disabled | 0012| and elderly waiver program and services. | 0013| C.
