0016|     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
    |
0017|       Section 1.  APPROPRIATION.--Eighty-six thousand dollars
    |
0018|     ($86,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the New
    |
0019|     Mexico office of Indian affairs for expenditure in fiscal year
    |
0020|     1997 to fund and conduct a study to determine necessary upgrades
    |
0021|     and renovations to and associated costs for such upgrades and
    |
0022|     renovations for the Crystal irrigation system in the Navajo
    |
0023|     nation in San Juan county.  Any unexpended or unencumbered
    |
0024|     balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 1997 shall revert to
    |
0025|     the general fund.

0008|     2.  On page 1, line 13, strike "IN SAN JUAN COUNTY" and insert in

0009|   lieu thereof "FOR A BUS FOR THE COCHITI HEADSTART PROGRAM AND FOR
    |
0010|   RECREATIONAL FACILITIES AT COCHITI PUEBLO.".

0012|     3.  On page 1, line 24, after the period insert the following new

0017|   affairs for expenditure in fiscal year 1997 for the purpose of

0018|   purchasing a bus for the headstart program at Cochiti pueblo in Sandoval

0019|   county.  Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of
    |
0020|   fiscal year 1997 shall revert to the general fund.

0022|     Section 3.  APPROPRIATION.--Twenty thousand dollars ($20,000) is

0023|   appropriated from the general fund to the New Mexico office of Indian

0024|   affairs for expenditure in fiscal year 1997 to equip and upgrade

0025|   recreational facilities at Cochiti pueblo in Sandoval county.  Any
    |
0001|   unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year
    |
0002|   1997 shall revert to the general fund.",

0003|   and thence referred to the  FINANCE COMMITTEE.
