0012|     MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR A STATEWIDE MATH, ENGINEERING AND

0016|     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

0017|       Section 1.  APPROPRIATION.--One hundred thousand dollars
    |
0018|     ($100,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the
    |
0019|     commission on higher education for expenditure in fiscal year
    |
0020|     1997 for the purpose of funding a statewide program encouraging
    |
0021|     middle school and high school students in the fields of math,
    |
0022|     engineering and science.  Any unexpended or unencumbered balance
    |
0023|     remaining at the end of fiscal year 1997 shall revert to the
    |
0024|     general fund.
