0012|     MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR INCREASED COMMUNITY PARTICIPATION IN

0015|     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
    |
0016|       Section 1.  APPROPRIATION.--One hundred sixteen thousand
    |
0017|     dollars ($116,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the
    |
0018|     commission on higher education for expenditure in fiscal year
    |
0019|     1997 for the purpose of continuing and expanding both the
    |
0020|     advanced placement program and the community academy for science
    |
0021|     and mathematics program at New Mexico highlands university at
    |
0022|     Las Vegas.  Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at
    |
0023|     the end of fiscal year 1997 shall revert to the general fund.
