0013|     MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR THE NAVAJO NATION CHILD SUPPORT

0014|     ENFORCEMENT PROGRAM IN SAN JUAN AND MCKINLEY COUNTIES; DECLARING

0015|     AN EMERGENCY.

0017|     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
    |
0018|       Section 1.  APPROPRIATION.--One hundred fifty thousand
    |
0019|     dollars ($150,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the
    |
0020|     human services department for expenditure in fiscal years 1996
    |
0021|     and 1997 for the purpose of contracting with the Navajo nation
    |
0022|     to provide child support enforcement services to citizens living
    |
0023|     within the boundaries of the Navajo nation in San Juan and
    |
0024|     McKinley counties.  Any unexpended or unencumbered balance
    |
0025|     remaining at the end of fiscal year 1997 shall revert to the
    |
0001|     general fund.
    |
0002|       Section 2.  EMERGENCY.--It is necessary for the public
    |
0003|     peace, health and safety that this act take effect immediately.
