0012| MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICE OF THE

0013| DISTRICT ATTORNEYS FOR THE PURPOSE OF ESTABLISHING OR EXPANDING
|
0014| DOMESTIC VIOLENCE PROGRAMS STATEWIDE.
|

0016| BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
|
0017| Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--
|
0018| A. Three million three hundred forty-three thousand
|
0019| twenty-six dollars ($3,343,026) is appropriated from the general
|
0020| fund to the administrative office of the district attorneys for
|
0021| expenditure in fiscal year 1997 for the purpose of establishing
|
0022| or expanding domestic violence programs statewide.
|
0023| B. To promote statewide consistency and coordination
|
0024| of domestic violence services, the administrative office of the
|
0025| district attorneys shall consult with New Mexico organizations
|
0001| having expertise in domestic violence issues before approving
|
0002| contracts for domestic violence counseling and support services.
|
0003| C. The money shall be distributed by the
|
0004| administrative office of the district attorneys as follows:
|
0005| (1) two hundred eighty thousand dollars
|
0006| ($280,000) to the first judicial district attorney's office for
|
0007| seven permanent full-time-equivalent positions and operating
|
0008| expenses;
|
0009| (2) eight hundred sixteen thousand two hundred
|
0010| dollars ($816,200) to the second judicial district attorney's
|
0011| office for seventeen permanent full-time-equivalent positions
|
0012| and operating expenses;
|
0013| (3) one hundred sixty-three thousand dollars
|
0014| ($163,000) to the third judicial district attorney's office for
|
0015| four permanent full-time-equivalent positions and operating
|
0016| expenses;
|
0017| (4) one hundred forty-eight thousand dollars
|
0018| ($148,000) to the fourth judicial district attorney's office for
|
0019| four permanent full-time-equivalent positions and operating
|
0020| expenses;
|
0021| (5) two hundred seventy-eight thousand seven
|
0022| hundred thirty dollars ($278,730) to the fifth judicial district
|
0023| attorney's office for seven permanent full-time-equivalent
|
0024| positions and operating expenses;
|
0025| (6) one hundred forty-seven thousand dollars
|
0001| ($147,000) to the sixth judicial district attorney's office for
|
0002| four permanent full-time equivalent positions and operating
|
0003| expenses;
|
0004| (7) one hundred ninety-four thousand one
|
0005| hundred dollars ($194,100) to the eighth judicial district
|
0006| attorney's office for five permanent full-time-equivalent
|
0007| positions and operating expenses;
|
0008| (8) two hundred four thousand dollars
|
0009| ($204,000) to the ninth judicial district attorney's office for
|
0010| five permanent full-time-equivalent positions and operating
|
0011| expenses;
|
0012| (9) one hundred fourteen thousand dollars
|
0013| ($114,000) to the tenth judicial district attorney's office for
|
0014| three permanent full-time-equivalent positions and operating
|
0015| expenses;
|
0016| (10) five hundred thirteen thousand nine
|
0017| hundred ninety-six dollars ($513,996) to division one of the
|
0018| eleventh judicial district attorney's office for three permanent
|
0019| full-time-equivalent positions, operating expenses and
|
0020| contractual services;
|
0021| (11) two hundred four thousand dollars
|
0022| ($204,000) to the twelfth judicial district attorney's office
|
0023| for five permanent full-time-equivalent positions and operating
|
0024| expenses; and
|
0025| (12) two hundred eighty thousand dollars
|
0001| ($280,000) to the thirteenth judicial district attorney's office
|
0002| for seven permanent full-time-equivalent positions and operating
|
0003| expenses.
|
0004| D. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining
|
0005| at the end of fiscal year 1997 shall revert to the general fund.
