0017| BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

0018| Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Seven hundred fifty thousand
|
0019| dollars ($750,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the
|
0020| commission on higher education for expenditure in fiscal year
|
0021| 1997 for the purpose of providing state matching funds to enable
|
0022| the alliance for minority participation, a partnership of
|
0023| twenty-six New Mexico public post-secondary educational
|
0024| institutions, and the regional alliance on science, engineering
|
0025| and mathematics for students with disabilities to participate in
|
0001| national science foundation programs to increase participation
|
0002| of underrepresented students in undergraduate and graduate
|
0003| educational programs. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance
|
0004| remaining at the end of fiscal year 1997 shall revert to the
|
0005| general fund.
