0012|     MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR AN EMERGENCY DISTRIBUTION TO THE

0013|     MORIARTY SCHOOL DISTRICT.

0015|     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
    |
0016|       Section 1.  APPROPRIATION.--Two hundred fifty thousand
    |
0017|     dollars ($250,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the
    |
0018|     state department of public education for expenditure in fiscal
    |
0019|     year 1997 to enable the superintendent of public instruction to
    |
0020|     make an emergency distribution to meet budget shortfalls in the
    |
0021|     Moriarty school district.  Any unexpended or unencumbered
    |
0022|     balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 1997 shall revert to
    |
0023|     the general fund.
