0012|     MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO EXPAND AND ENHANCE PROGRAMS AT THE

0013|     AGRICULTURAL SCIENCE CENTER IN THE CITY OF FARMINGTON.

0015|     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
    |
0016|       Section 1.  APPROPRIATION.--
    |
0017|            A.  Two hundred thousand dollars ($200,000) is
    |
0018|     appropriated from the general fund to the board of regents of
    |
0019|     New Mexico state university for expenditure in fiscal year 1997
    |
0020|     for the purpose of expanding and enhancing programs at the
    |
0021|     agricultural science center in the city of Farmington.  The
    |
0022|     appropriation shall be distributed by the board of regents in
    |
0023|     the following manner:
    |
0024|                 (1)  thirty thousand dollars ($30,000) to the
    |
0025|     cooperative extension service; and
    |
0001|                 (2)  one hundred seventy thousand dollars
    |
0002|     ($170,000) to the agricultural experiment station.
    |
0003|            B.  Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining
    |
0004|     at the end of fiscal year 1997 shall revert to the general fund.
