0012|     RELATING TO EDUCATIONAL TELEVISION; MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR

0016|     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
    |
0017|       Section 1.  APPROPRIATION--PURPOSE.--Three hundred thousand
    |
0018|     dollars ($300,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the
    |
0019|     educational television equipment replacement fund for
    |
0020|     expenditure in fiscal years 1996 and 1997 to provide for
    |
0021|     television equipment replacement at various higher education-related public television stations.  Any unexpended or
    |
0022|     unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 1997
    |
0023|     shall remain in the educational television equipment replacement
    |
0024|     fund as provided in Section 21-1-34 NMSA 1978.
    |
0025|       Section 2.  EMERGENCY.--It is necessary for the public
    |
0001|     peace, health and safety that this act take effect immediately.
