0012|     MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO FUND PLANNING AND IMPLEMENTATION OF

0013|     THE JUNE 1996 WORLD INDIGENOUS PEOPLES' CONFERENCE ON EDUCATION

0014|     IN ALBUQUERQUE; DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.

0016|     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
    |
0017|       Section 1.  APPROPRIATION.--Seventy-five thousand dollars
    |
0018|     ($75,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the New
    |
0019|     Mexico office of Indian affairs for expenditure in fiscal years
    |
0020|     1996 and 1997 for the purpose of funding the planning and
    |
0021|     implementation of the June 1996 world indigenous peoples'
    |
0022|     conference on education in Albuquerque.  Any unexpended or
    |
0023|     unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 1997
    |
0024|     shall revert to the general fund.
    |
0025|       Section 2.  EMERGENCY.--It is necessary for the public
    |
