     Your EDUCATION COMMITTEE, to whom has been referred
  
                         HOUSE BILL 306
                                 
  has had it under consideration and reports same with
  recommendation that it DO PASS, amended as follows:
  
     1.   On page 2, line 1, after the period insert "The state
  department of education shall submit a program evaluation to the
  legislative education study committee and the legislative finance
  committee by November 1, 1996 detailing the benefits to the state of
  New Mexico from having implemented this program.".,
  
  and thence referred to the APPROPRIATIONS AND FINANCE
  COMMITTEE.
