0012| AMENDING SECTION 16-6-16 NMSA 1978 (BEING LAWS 1935, CHAPTER 69,

0013| SECTION 4, AS AMENDED) TO INCREASE THE BONDING AUTHORITY OF THE
|
0014| NEW MEXICO STATE FAIR.

0016| BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
|
0017| Section 1. Section 16-6-16 NMSA 1978 (being Laws 1935,
|
0018| Chapter 69, Section 4, as amended) is amended to read:
|
0019| "16-6-16. ISSUANCE OF NEGOTIABLE BONDS--TERMS.--The New
|
0020| Mexico state fair, with the prior approval of the state board of
|
0021| finance, is hereby authorized from time to time to issue
|
0022| negotiable bonds in the aggregate principal amount of not to
|
0023| exceed [three million five hundred thousand dollars
|
0024| ($3,500,000)] six million dollars ($6,000,000). The bonds
|
0025| shall be authorized by resolution of the commission. The bonds
|
0001| may be issued in one or more series, may bear such date or
|
0002| dates, may be in such denomination or denominations, may mature
|
0003| at such time or times not exceeding fifty years from the
|
0004| respective dates thereof, may mature in such amount or amounts,
|
0005| shall bear interest in accordance with the Public Securities
|
0006| Act, may be in such form as the state fair commission may
|
0007| determine and may be executed in such manner, may be payable in
|
0008| such medium of payment at such place or places and may be
|
0009| subject to such terms of redemption with or without premium as
|
0010| such resolution or other resolutions may provide. The bonds
|
0011| shall be sold at public sale for not less than par value and in
|
0012| the manner provided by law for the sale of municipal bonds. The
|
0013| bonds shall be negotiable instruments notwithstanding the form
|
0014| or tenor thereof."

0023| compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 at the
|
0024| Indian building of fine arts and other exhibition and performance-related facilities; and
|

0001| B. reroofing, renovating and making other capital
|
0002| improvements at Tingley coliseum.".
