APPROPRIATIONS.-- | 0017| A. Six million five hundred thousand dollars | 0018| ($6,500,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the | 0019| department of health for expenditure in fiscal year 1997 to | 0020| provide or contract for the following purposes in the following | 0021| amounts: | 0022| (1) two million dollars ($2,000,000) to expand | 0023| the mental health in the '90s program, including expansion to | 0024| communities with a small population of mentally ill persons, for | 0025| individualized services for additional seriously disabled | 0001| mentally ill persons; | 0002| (2) one million dollars ($1,000,000) to provide | 0003| or contract for residential support services for seriously | 0004| disabled mentally ill persons, including: | 0005| (a) services to communities with small | 0006| populations of mentally ill persons; | 0007| (b) planning and accessing housing; | 0008| (c) security deposits; | 0009| (d) interim rent and related housing | 0010| costs; | 0011| (e) supervised living expenses; and | 0012| (f) demonstration projects; | 0013| (3) one million seven hundred fifty thousand | 0014| dollars ($1,750,000) to alleviate statewide waiting lists of | 0015| seriously disabled mentally ill persons for psychosocial | 0016| rehabilitation, case management and supported employment | 0017| training; and | 0018| (4) one million seven hundred fifty thousand | 0019| dollars ($1,750,000) to expand outpatient mental health | 0020| services, including services for the underserved Native American | 0021| community. | 0022| B.
