0002| AUTHORIZING AND RATIFYING THE PROPOSED SALE OF A TRACT OF LAND

0003| LOCATED IN ALBUQUERQUE AND CURRENTLY OWNED BY THE DEPARTMENT OF
    |
0004| PUBLIC SAFETY.

0006|      WHEREAS, Section 13-6-3 NMSA 1978 requires legislative ratification and approval of
    |
0007| the sale of any land belonging to a state agency, that sale being for consideration of one hundred
    |
0008| thousand dollars ($100,000) or more; and
    |
0009|      WHEREAS, the department of public safety currently owns a piece of property on
    |
0010| Menual boulevard in Albuquerque, which the department has determined to be surplus property;
    |
0011| and
    |
0012|      WHEREAS, the property owned by the department of public safety is described as a
    |
0013| certain parcel of land situate within the city limits of the city of Albuquerque, Bernalillo county,
    |
0014| New Mexico being and comprising the northerly 125 feet of Joseph Reay tract parcel "A-1" to
    |
0015| the city of Albuquerque, New Mexico as the same is shown and designated on said plat filed in
    |
0016| the office of the county clerk of Bernalillo county, New Mexico on March 31, 1988 (Bk. C36-44); and
    |
0017|      WHEREAS, individuals have expressed an interest in the purchase of the property
    |
0018| described above;
    |
0019|      NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE
    |
0020| OF NEW MEXICO that the proposed sale of the tract of land located on Menaul boulevard,
    |
0021| owned by the department of public safety, and described herein, be ratified and approved
    |
0022| pursuant to the provisions of Section 13-6-3 NMSA 1978; and
    |
0023|      BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that copies of this resolution be transmitted to the
    |
0024|                                                               department of public safety and the general services department.
