0002| MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO TRAIN OR HIRE EMERGENCY MEDICAL TECHNICIANS

0003| IN THE JEMEZ VALLEY IN SANDOVAL COUNTY; DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.

0005| BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
    |
0006|      Section 1.  APPROPRIATION.--Sixty thousand dollars ($60,000) is
    |
0007| appropriated from the general fund to the department of health for
    |
0008| expenditure in fiscal years 1996 and 1997 for the purpose of training,
    |
0009| if necessary, and hiring two additional licensed emergency medical
    |
0010| technicians to be stationed at the pueblo of Jemez to respond to
    |
0011| emergency medical needs of Jemez valley residents.  Any unexpended or
    |
0012| unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 1997 shall
    |
0013| revert to the general fund.
    |
0014|      Section 2.  EMERGENCY.--It is necessary for the public peace,
    |
0015| health and safety that this act take effect immediately.
