0006| BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
    |
0007|      Section 1.  SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM ESTABLISHED.--Subject to the
    |
0008| availability of funds, the department of military affairs shall
    |
0009| establish a scholarship program for students who are New Mexico guard or
    |
0010| the New Mexico air national guard.  The adjutant general of the
    |
0011| department of military affairs shall provide for the administration of
    |
0012| the scholarship program.  The department shall establish criteria for
    |
0013| scholarship eligibility and award.  Scholarships awarded may be used at
    |
0014| any New Mexico public post-secondary educational institution. 
    |
0015| Scholarships shall be awarded in an amount and for a duration to be
    |
0016| determined by the department.
