0002| MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO ESTABLISH AN ALTERNATIVE FUELS INITIATIVE.

0004| BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

0005|      Section 1.  APPROPRIATION.--Seventy-five thousand dollars
    |
0006| ($75,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the state highway and
    |
0007| transportation department for expenditure in fiscal year 1997 for the
    |
0008| purpose of establishing an alternative fuels initiative at the alliance
    |
0009| for transportation research.  Any unexpended or unencumbered balance
    |
0010| remaining at the end of fiscal year 1997 shall revert to the general
    |
0011| fund.
