0002| MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO FUND THE YOUTH ENRICHMENT PROGRAM AT THE

0003| UNIVERSITY OF NEW MEXICO IN BERNALILLO COUNTY; DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.

0005| BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
    |
0006|      Section 1.  APPROPRIATION.--Sixty thousand dollars ($60,000) is
    |
0007| appropriated from the general fund to the board of regents of the
    |
0008| university of New Mexico for expenditure in fiscal years 1996 and 1997
    |
0009| for the purpose of funding the African-American student services youth
    |
0010| enrichment program, including personnel, administrative, travel and
    |
0011| supplies expenses, at the main campus of the university of New Mexico in
    |
0012| Bernalillo county.  Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at
    |
0013| the end of fiscal year 1997 shall revert to the general fund.
    |
0014|      Section 2.  EMERGENCY.--It is necessary for the public peace,
    |
0015| health and safety that this act take effect immediately.
